Police are investigating an alleged domestic violence assault at One Mile Dam. Read what happened.
NT Police said they received reports of a woman, 40, with head injuries about 5.50pm on Tuesday.
A 41-year-old man was also suspected to have broken ribs.
St Johns Ambulance took the pair, who were known to each other, to Royal Darwin Hospital.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information to make contact on 131 444 – using reference number 10358931.

Police probe assault on Palmerston bus driver
Police are seeking information after an assault and attempted robbery on a bus driver in Moulden on Sunday.
Around 6pm, police received reports that a large group had attempted to rob a bus driver travelling along Tilston Ave, Moulden.
Police said the group allegedly engaged in violent, anti-social behaviour resulting in the driver being assaulted and the bus being damaged.
Strike Force Trident investigators are probing the incident and urging anyone who witnessed the assault to contact 131444, and to quote reference number 10357458. Reports can be made anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000.
Jewellers targeted in Casuarina Square break-in
Three teens are on the run after a break-in at Casuarina Square in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police allege that at 1.45am three boys, believed to be aged 15, gained access to the shopping centre and smashed the shopfront glass at Hoskings Jewellers.
The trio allegedly grabbed an unknown number of male and female watches from the business before fleeing the scene on foot.
NT Police Northern Watch Commander Sean Patterson said police arrived at the shop shortly after the break-in and commenced an immediate search for the trio.
“A crime scene was established at Hoskings,” he said.
“The three youths currently remain at large and investigations are ongoing.”
